Battle Born Ventures was contracted by Churchill County Parks & Recreation Department to prepare a conceptual plan to improve the Soda Lake Park and Recreation Area. The plan objectives were to explore potential park uses, outline future park improvements, prioritize and suggest timelines for said improvements, provide a supporting figure or exhibit, and summarize the findings in a narrative report. As part of the plan development, a working draft was presented to the community at a number of Town Hall Meetings which included a number of diverse interest groups and property owners in the immediate vicinity of the park. The goal of these meetings was to bring forward intended concepts and to compile community feedback for incorporation into the working plan. At the conclusion of this process, a final plan was presented to local governing boards for approval and action.
