Battle Born Ventures, LLC recently provided land surveying and mapping services for the City of Fernley, Lyon County, Nevada associated with cemetery plot configuration and layout at the Fernley Cemetery just north of Interstate 80. The City of Fernley enlisted Battle Born Ventures to provide an existing planometrics survey for burial plots, access routes, site improvements, and utilities. Battle Born Ventures used this data to prepare an overall cemetery plan depicting existing and future burial plot blocks and associated dimensions and relationships to existing infrastructure. BBV set burial plot block corners in the field as 4″ Diameter X 12″ concrete cylinders with plot block designation painted on the top of each cylinder. Other survey related aspects of the project involved office survey calculations, data reduction, and project coordination.
