McGinness Hills Geothermal Power Plant #2

Battle Born Ventures, LLC recently provided construction staking services for A&K Earth Movers, Inc. of Fallon, Nevada associated with site grading, underground infrastructure, and structural foundations being constructed at Ormat’s McGinness Hills Geothermal Power Plant #2 near Austin, Nevada. A&K Earth Movers, Inc. enlisted Battle Born Ventures to provide construction layout for access road alignments, site grading and GPS control points, and grid lines associated with the structural foundations for the main plant equipment. Battle Born Ventures set offset stakes for site grading and underground infrastructure and hubs w/ tacks as ten foot offsets to the respective structural grid lines. Other survey related aspects of the project involved office survey calculations, data reduction, and project coordination.
